Business Description:
A long-time fixture of the Baldwin business community, Frank Electric Company on Grand Avenue has been providing its customers with expert electrical service since 1949.
Founded by the late C. John Iandiorio, the family-owned and operated business is now piloted by his son, President and Master Electrician C.J. Samuel Iandiorio, who has been with the company for over 30 years. Mr. Iandiorio and his staff offer customers a wide range of electrical services, from residential to commercial.
"When my dad first started the business in Baldwin over 60 years ago, most houses here had only one outlet in each room," he said.
Although home and business electrical needs have changed dramatically since then, the small-town feeling and caring service that customers received from Frank Electric has not. "Most of our business comes from word of mouth," Mr. Iandiorio said, "We can do anything from changing a single outlet to wiring a 100,000 square foot commercial establishment."
Sam Iandiorio graduated from Villanova University and received a Masters degree from C.W. Post in Business Administration.
"When a customer walks into our store, he can look at all the plaques, awards and citations we have earned through the years, commending us for our community work," he said. "I am chairman of the Town of Hempstead Electrical Licensing Board as was my dad before me. Sam was also President of the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, Baldwin Rotary Club and Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club.
The company's name is drawn from its original location, on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square. Frank Electric Company is located at 2100 Grand Avenue in Baldwin. Frank Electric can be reached at 516-223-6108, cell 516-807-6307.
